KGTD Halloween Edition, 2009

October 30, 2009: KGTD is probably the best monthly dance party in Birmingham. Always lots of energy and always packed out. The party before Halloween with Captain Crunk from Atlanta was indeed very crunk.

Tiësto @ the North Atlanta Trade Center, 2009-10-10

Our time inside was limited due to a near riot outside due to a poorly run event entrance causing hundreds or even thousands of people to wait outside for hours (see video). I managed to grab a few nice shots though once inside.

Fly By Radio @ the Iron Horse, Birmingham

August 29, 2009: I am normally not a fan of band music especially not cover bands, but after seeing Fly By Radio in Chattanooga a while back I was impressed. They put on a really great show, and their visual production makes for some really great shots especially on a 50mm/f1.8 lens. Fly By Radio is from Birmingham and makes regular visits to the Iron Horse.

2009: Fear & Loathing in St. Louis

Fear and Loathing @ Lit in Saint Louis, Missouri on May 30, 2009 presented by The Dead Presidents with DJs Fanu and Gein, Summer, Bargo, Qarrell, D-Caf, T.Lectual, Ready, Jen HA, Soulo, Tommy Gunns, L-Des, SuperKim+K_I_T, TomFoolery vs. The Dervish, Matt T + i M, Tony Foo Yong.

It was a great party with a huge turnout in a dilapitated area of North St. Louis. The music was excellent, the crowd was awesome, and the vibe was amazing. There were lasers, techno, dinosaurs, glowsticks and flyswatters. All around a really great rave.

2009-05-29: The Duke and Gonzo Rondezvoux at Mercury in St. Louis, MO featuring The Dead Presidents (Summer, Bargo, and Qarrell), Skeetz, Vic Damone, Brandon B. This was the pre-party to the big rave the following night!

2009: Benny Benassi & The Crystal Method @ The Tabernacle, ATL

Saturday, May 16th 2009: It was at the Tabernacle, an old theater, and was the launch party for the Evolve weeklys in Atlanta. Headlining in the main room was the Crystal Method and Benny Benassi and other talent included the Bad Robotz! from Birmingham.
